What actually happens
1. Consultation and color match. Lip tone varies far more than people expect, and natural pigment in the lip changes the result. Color is mixed against your own lip and skin tone.
2. Outline and shape. The border is drawn on and shown to you first. This is where you say if you want it softer or more defined.
3. Color. Pigment is worked through the lip in light passes so saturation can be judged as it builds.
4. Final check. Both sides are compared for balance, and you leave with aftercare instructions.
Plan for approximately 3 hours 30 minutes in the studio. A free 30-minute consultation can also be booked on its own.
What the result looks like, honestly
Lips look considerably brighter and more saturated straight afterwards, and they will not stay that way. Color softens noticeably as the skin heals, and the healed result is much gentler than day one.
Lips are one of the areas where results vary most between people, because your own lip pigment sits underneath what is applied. Two people can have the same color used and heal differently.

Will my lips look like I am wearing lipstick?
That is the usual worry. The technique puts a wash of color through the lip rather than drawing a line around it, and how far it goes is decided with you at the start. If you want it barely noticeable, say so during the color match.
Does it change the shape of my lips?
It defines the border you already have rather than building a new one. Anything beyond that is a conversation to have in person, not something to decide from a website.
My lips are naturally dark. Does that matter?
Yes, natural lip pigment affects how color heals. A Dark Lips Neutralization service, which suggests this is worked with. Whether it applies to you has to be seen in person.
Does it hurt?
Lips are more sensitive than brows for most people. Because comfort measures are a clinical matter, this page does not describe what is or is not used — please ask the studio directly.
